Though our history of Cinnamon business started from 1930, the basement or the ground level reason for our business was Mr. Aranolis served in 1890’s as a security (kankanama) of a huge cinnamon plantation in Mathara district. After that the security job received to his son Mr.Peris Appuhami.Then Mr.Dawith Appuhami started the home made cinnamon. At that time he started to grow cinnamon in the garden within very limited land resources. Since he could improve the business step by step, it made him able to sell cinnamon beens too.
When the time comes, his son Mr.Agneesan Appuhami joined to the business by gathering the ownership, this home base cinnamon business had received considerable recognition and reputation within Sri Lanka.
In 1985 the business could able to turn up a new episode after the arrival of his son Mr.Saliya Kumara who was having a vast knowledge and exposure towards the cinnamon cultivation and business. Then the business had been upgraded up to the selling of cinnamon powder, cinnamon oil and cinnamon sticks other than cinnamon beens.
In present, the business is holding its reputation and the recognition as a high quality organic cinnamon supplier throughout the island and even in the world market. Thus the business is being developed day by day while maintaining its quality same at its customer preference level.
Now, cinnamon is methodically cultivated in our 50 acre land and there is a processing facility in the same property with a higher capacity of output.
